The first thing we decided is what services do you need? We offer: Full and Partial Planning services for events ranging in size from intimate engagements to family celebrations, to showers and teas to elopements and weddings. 

That's absolutely no problem. We bake cakes for 2 people or 2000 people! Your memories are so very special to us. Why trust them to anything less than exceptional?  Our Cake Flavors Page has a full listing of cake and filling options and the sizes we offer. 

Cheesecakes to pies to tarts to desserts that remind you of what you ate in a restaurant on vacation. That's what we can create for you! 

As a longtime Single Mom and Entrepreneur, I look at everything I price as: "is this a price I would like for someone to give to me?" Your desired budgets are important to me, and I try my hardest to create something to fit in every budget. It may mean lower profit margins for me in that moment, but my business is built off of creating memories often with my clients, not just for one occasion. 

For larger items we do offer payment plans that are easy and no additional charge. For items under $200, we do require custom cakes and special orders to be paid for in advance to confirm the order. 

When I got married, there were no real options on flavors and fillings, so when I started this journey over 30 years ago, I decided that I wanted to offer absolutely anything and everything I enjoyed baking! I want my couples to create a dessert or a table of desserts that is a representation of who they are and what they love to eat. Isn't that what a celebration should consist of? 

Our Cake Tastings are a personal experience! We offer the happy couple a private tasting, there is never a charge for the tasting, so this is how they work.

 I bake you all of the flavors I am working on that week, pair them with fillings and icings to represent a wide choice of options you have. While you have a list of many flavors of cake, I bake you 8-10 flavors to be enjoyed and build your trust that any flavor you choose will be delicious. After the tasting, if you want to taste something specific, I will gladly bake you a 6" cake or dozen cupcakes to purchase.

The tasting does not include parents, bridesmaids, sisters, cousins, best friends or entire parties of guests. It is simply a time for me to get to know the couple I will be creating desserts for.  If you want a large tasting, or to include sets of parents and other guests, I suggest doing a " Tasting Box" to have at home. The couple are served at no cost, each additional set for 2 is $35. 

I do not do tastings for birthday cakes or dessert displays. If there is something specific you need to taste before trusting us with your order, we will see how to accommodate that, but Blessed Baker Lady is a private bakery, so baking samples of apple tarts or Flourless chocolate cake, or Gluten Free products means that I have nothing to do with the remainder of your sample, other than to give it away free to someone, or throw it away. That increases your overall cost, and I like to avoid that. 

While I specialize in creating fabulous desserts, I am a fully trained event planner as well as catering and fine dining service. If you need someone to take control of your timeline, vendors, and keeping your event flowing the way you want it to, then that can definitely be done.  From a dinner party in your home dining room, to setting up an event at a restaurant or on a charter boat or a rental house on the beach, to working with a florist and photographer to create those special moments to capture, to finding the right DJ to keep your party going until the last moments of the night. 

I have a selected vendor list of additional planners, fabulous photographers, creative florists, hair and make-up artists, private chefs and full catering companies, DJ's and videographers, linens and china rentals to fill your tables and the perfect locations to hold your events. 

Remember, your venue may have an Event Coordinator on site, but primarily, their job is to look out for the best interest of the venue, my job is to match that and see that your wishes are carried out on top of that. I work side by side with the venue coordinator to take the stress off of you and let them do their duties while knowing you are going to leave happy at the end of the night.
